User-Generated Content (UGC) offers brands a unique opportunity to engage with their audience in an authentic manner. However, it's essential to navigate the legal landscape to ensure that the content used respects the rights of its creators. Here's a guide to help you understand these considerations.

Understanding Content Rights

  1. Ownership and Permissions: Even though a user shares content related to your brand, it doesn't automatically grant you the rights to use it for any purpose. Proper permissions are required.

  2. Access to UGC and Emails: With a ttagz dashboard, businesses gain access to the UGC and emails collected specifically from their campaign. This content is available for the brand to use, but it's crucial to adhere to the terms under which it was collected.

  3. Usage Rights: Once you've collected content through ttagz, you have the rights to use it for general marketing purposes. This includes email campaigns, social media posts, and website content. However, these rights are subject to the terms and conditions of the platform and the permissions granted by the content creators.

How ttagz Assists with Legal Considerations

  1. Transparent Permissions: ttagz ensures that users are aware of how their content will be used. When they share content on the platform, they are informed about its potential use for marketing purposes, ensuring that brands receive explicit permission.

  2. Adherence to Terms of Service: While ttagz facilitates the collection and use of UGC, it's essential for brands to adhere to the platform's terms of service. This ensures that the content is used ethically and respects the rights of the creators.

Information We Collect

When users engage with our platform, here's the information we gather:

  1. Image: The primary essence of UGC is the content you share. When you upload an image, we store and process it to provide the services associated with our platform.

  2. Email: We collect your email address to facilitate communication, send updates, and provide a more personalised experience on ttagz.

  3. Instagram Handle: To better understand and engage with our user community, we also collect your Instagram handle. This allows brands to see the source of the content and potentially engage with you on the platform.
